Grows into a small tree with a tall, upright habit at maturity. The fragrant, cup shaped blooms emerge alongside the ovate, mid-green foliage from May into June. The flowers are deep pink, with a creamy white inside.
Magnolia Growing Tips: Full sun to part shade lover, best grown in consistently moist, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Provide sheltered site as buds and flowers may be damaged by cold winds, and late frosts. Shape and size can be controlled by pruning which should be done either immediately after flowering or during late summer.
